Body Talk

With the change in seasons/weather, what is your body telling you? If your active it may be something like this: sprains, strains, bruises, leg cramps-oh my! Howling moments, then you forget until----you--go--to--bed--and suddenly your body "talks" to you. It may not be a very pleasant conversation. So, you jump from bed and head for some water, electrolytes and stretching in the hopes of sleep. Sleep well, after all it has been called the best medicine.

54 days into the 100 day challenge. You would think I'd had enough with the Janathon right? Guess not. I enjoy a target in my sight to aim at? Besides a 25K trail race is looming on the very near horizon!!! My new mantra: keep on keeping on. Don't look back, don't look forward. Be Here, now.

Wow, it's COLD!!!!!!

Feels like Jan. already. BRR! Remember to dress in light layers. scarf + gloves to regulate body temperatures. Bring in the dog, and keep an eye on the kids. Just because it's cold doesn't mean you have to stay inside, just be aware of the dangers. Remember to drink plenty of water. Your body still needs just as much as when its hot out. TIP: I set out my full water bottle at night for the next day. In a place where I will walk past it several times a day. Since its at room temperature its not too cold plus, being a reminder to "drink up". Enjoy the beauty of this time of year. Spring is only a few months away:)

In celebration of National Running Day I met up with a group and we went for a run at 6:30 am today. My reward..........I won a new pair of running shoes!!! Wheee!!

Full Moon Madness

As I watched the snow falling fast and furious Saturday evening I wondered what Sunday would bring. On Feb. 28 we were supposed to do Last Chance for Boston, aka "the hamster wheel". No full moon howling but lots of "tapping" for ouchies during race. I guess age does have privileges, thank goodness. Brought home a 1st in age group. Guess there aren't as many crazy ladies in my age group :). Would have been even better if it had been sunny and not cold and spitting snow. Weather is out of my control. Is it Spring yet?

2 weeks and counting

Well its only 2 weeks till "Tackle the Tower". Plenty of doubts and why did I sign on for this? Using EFT/tapping on:

Chase that Turkey!!!

What did you do Thanksgiving morning? Me, I got up early and I went out for a cool, windy, drizzly Turkey Trot. "Caught" a pumpkin pie. Got a neat shirt and medal. Plus had a great time at the Chase Turkey Trot. Then came home and cooked a feast for the family.
